There are many international restaurants and Spanish ventas in the area to suit all pockets. Some of the best are within walking distance of the townhouse.

The nearest restaurant is attached to the four star Alhaurin Golf hotel with great atmosphere for the romantic holiday maker.

Also, within walking distance is the Venta los Morenos recommended by the Sunday Times. Typically Spanish and fantastic value.

A few kilometres away, in the centre of Alhaurin el Grande is a number of great restaurants including the one opposite.

Golf can be arranged by visiting the Alhaurin Golf clubhouse. This is one of the cheapest and most challenging courses on the Costa del Sol.

If you do not want to play golf, you can enjoy a meal or drink at reasonable prices on the sunny terraces of the golf club.

Great atmosphere nothing like the golf courses at home.

Your family will not be far from all the delights and facilities along the coast.

There are two aqua parks within a short distance. The Parque Acuatico Mijas is within a 20 minutes drive with fun and rides for everyone whatever their age.

For the Michael Schumacher's in the family the Karting Club Malaga is only 15 minutes away from the townhouse.

In addition, children can enjoy the famous Benalmadena Sea Life Centre,  the Fuengirola Zoo, Tivoli World and quad biking, all within a few kilometres by car.

There are many local street markets in the area offering the opportunity to purchase local produce at competitive prices.

There are a number of supermarkets a few kilometres away and a large shopping mall at La Trocha only 5 kilometres away.

Within Alhaurin el Grande itself there are panaderia (Spanish bakers),  pescaderia (fishmongers) and numerous other shops selling local produce.

This can be arranged at the Alhaurin Golf hotel within walking distance of the townhouse.

The hotel has two tennis courts which are always available to book. It is easy to book as the receptionist speaks fluent English.

One of the best clubs for tennis is the Lew Road Camp de Tennis in Mijas only 6 kms away. There are 8 courts with beautifully landscaped gardens.

Within walking distance, horse riding can be arranged at the Alhaurin Golf Hotel as they have facilities on site.

Alternatively, on the road to Alhaurin el Grande there are numerous riding schools offering riding in the Andalucian countryside.
